Set up two opposing goals and four starting cones and a wall-pass cone (see diagram). One player goes to the wall-pass cone, the rest distribute evenly at the four starting cones. The players of group A and B have the balls.
Procedure
Player A begins with a pass to the wall passer. He lays the ball off to the side to player A1, who shoots directly on goal. Then both players switch to their opposing groups (A to B1 and A1 to B), the wall passer turns and receives a pass from B, which he lays off to the side to B1, who shoots on goal. Then these two also switch to the opposing groups. Option: A second wall passer positions himself next to the first. The drill is now performed in parallel. I.e., both groups (A+A1 and B+B1) start simultaneously.
Tip
The drill flow is as follows: Player A/B goes into the backswing to pass, then wall passer makes counter-movement (short backward movement followed by a short step forward 1-2m). The wall passer goes into the backswing to pass, then player A1/B1 starts running. - Pay attention to correct body posture when shooting: upper body over the ball; plant foot approx. 30-40 cm offset to the side of the ball, foot pointing in the shooting direction; arms swing along; the arm closest to the kicking leg follows the leg's backswing motion, the other is brought forward; eyes are on the ball at the moment of the shot. - The wall passer makes a short counter-movement as soon as the starting player goes into the backswing and then comes briefly toward the ball. - After the pass, the wall passer must immediately turn to the other side to play the next pass with the other group. - The pass to the wall passer should be played to his strong foot. - Different shooting techniques (inside-of-the-foot shot, instep shot, curling, etc.) can be practised (possibly on the coach's instruction). - 4 cones, 2 full-size goal(s)
