Shots from Various Distances

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players

Setup

The goalkeeper goes into the goal. Several cones are set up at different distances and angles to the goal. The players position themselves in and around the penalty area with a ball at one of the respective cone markers.

Procedure

The players shoot alternately at the goal. They should use different shooting techniques (swerve, instep kick, inside-of-the-foot kick, etc.).

Tip

- The goalkeeper always orients himself to the respective shooter. - Due to the high variability of the shots, the goalkeeper must react in very different ways. - The goalkeeper's goal is always to hold onto the ball. - The goalkeeper reacts as soon as the ball leaves the shooter's foot. - The takeoff is performed either without or with only one intermediate step. Multiple steps result in too much time lost. The body weight is on the push-off leg during takeoff. - The goalkeeper jumps to the side with a swing step. To the right by swinging through the right foot and pushing off sideways through the balls of the feet. To the left by swinging through the left foot.
