Tip
- Run on the balls of the feet, not on the entire foot or the heels. - Light, easy steps, no stomping or pounding — be light on your feet. - The arms, bent at the body, move alternately with the legs. Not away from the body (no goal celebration). - Short ground contact time. - Single-leg jumps: Serve to develop push-off power (increasing maximum and explosive strength with limited push-off time), i.e., acceleration speed. The player jumps forward from the right ball of the foot and lands on the same foot on the ball. Short ground contact followed by an explosive sprint. The left foot steps forward. - Just before the GC strikes the ball, the goalkeeper makes a small two-footed hop or a short step forward, spreads the arms to the sides, slightly bends at the knees, and stands on the balls of the feet. The feet point toward the coach and are about hip-width apart; the upper body leans slightly forward and the eyes track the ball. - The body must always be brought behind the ball during the save. - During the save, the goalkeeper must never fall backward, always forward. - 6 hurdle(s)
