Sprint Intervals

Setup

• 2 poles

Procedure

The player positions themselves at the first pole and sprints to the second pole. Then, the player jogs at a very relaxed pace for 20 seconds. At the end of the 20 seconds, the player should be back at the second pole. From there, the player sprints back to the first pole and then takes another 20-second break. This process is repeated several times.

Tip

Coaching Points

• Execute the sprints at the highest speed until the end
• Walk the 20 seconds at a very relaxed pace, but do not stop moving (recovery time)
• Neutral head position
• Straight arm movement
• Adequate knee lift
