Sprint with a subsequent 1 against 1 situation and goal completion

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players

Setup

A triangle of cones is built in front of the goal. Two players are always positioned at the left starting cone. There is a goalkeeper in the goal. The rest of the players are behind the starting cone. One ball is required in each run.

Procedure

At the command of the trainer or a teammate, players J + I sprint around the cones with the appropriate walking routes (blue & red running route). Player J takes the ball in the movement and tries to dribble through the cone gate towards the goal and finish with a shot. Player I tries to stop him. If player I conquers the ball, he becomes the attacker and can finish the goal himself.

Tip

- As soon as the offensive player has reached the cone, he makes an explosive 90 degree turn and starts a speed dribbling. - Tight ball control. - The upper body is slightly bent forward at the start of dribbling. When he stops and pulls back the ball, he straightens up a bit. - When performing a body feint, the body's center of gravity shifts to the right or left depending on the direction of execution due to the lateral bending of the upper body, which is typical for body feints. - Do lean backwards. - The arms are angled in the elbow joint and are carried sideways by the body, according to the normal arm movement when running / walking. - Bend your leg when taking the ball with you. - The ball is only touched lightly ("gently"). A sensitivity for the ball has to be built up. - The view should be released from the ball regularly (alternating gaze towards the ball and towards the front). - Fast, short movements. - Move on your footpads. - Short contact time with the ground. - Keep up the pace. - As many ball contacts as possible. - The legs are slightly bent in the knee joint during execution. - Tight ball guidance (ball should not leave the foot more than 50 cm). - Pay attention to pass / shot sharpness and accuracy for the pass and shot on goal. Defensive player: - Do not stand with both legs in the front as this leads to immobility. - Stand laterally, this maintains leg mobility. Attacking players: - When in possession of the ball, if possible approach the opponent at the highest speed to take advantage of the speed. - At a slow pace try a quick feint with body delusion. - The aim is to train perception, anticipation, reaction and the start with game-appropriate ball technique (dribbling, duel, goal shot). - 3 cones, 1 large field goal (s)
