Sprints with Coordination: Color Training

Setup

  • 6 cones, in 4 colors
  • 3 hurdles
  • Divide into pairs
  • Trainer positioned at the red cone
  • 1 player in the square
  • 1 player behind the 2nd red cone

Procedure

The trainer dictates the color sequence through constantly changing commands. The player must touch the cones in the square in the corresponding order with their hand.

Then, run over the hurdles in a crossover step, play back the ball thrown by the trainer, and return to the square. Then sprint back to the trainer and cool down.

Coaching Points

  • Ensure correct execution of the coordination tasks and pass
  • To create competition, set up the exercise twice and start both groups simultaneously
