A small-sided goal is placed inside a full-size goal as shown. Set up two cones at the same height, between which the players line up side by side. Each player has a ball.
Procedure
By placing the small-sided goal inside the full-size goal, various target zones are created in the full-size goal, which are highlighted in colour in the diagram. The players must now shoot into the specified zones in sequence on the coach's command. Option: Each hit earns a point. The player with the most points at the end wins.
Tip
- Pay attention to correct body posture when shooting: upper body over the ball; plant foot approx. 30-40 cm offset to the side of the ball, foot pointing in the shooting direction; arms swing along; the arm closest to the kicking leg follows the leg's backswing motion, the other is brought forward; eyes are on the ball at the moment of the shot. - Always have shooting drills performed with both feet. - Different shooting techniques (inside-of-the-foot shot, instep shot, curling, etc.) can be practised (possibly on the coach's instruction). - 1 small-sided goal(s), 2 cones, 1 full-size goal(s)
