Technique Combination 4

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression, Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players

Setup

Each player has a ball. Set up a cone square or use open space.

Procedure

Short dribbling followed by a double pirouette right/left. Immediately after, stop the ball with the sole and in one fluid motion take it with the inside of the foot in the opposite direction (American fake). The ball is then dribbled quickly with the instep (alternating right/left with one intermediate step each). After four touches each with the right and left foot, the technique combination starts over. (Pirouette/American fake/instep dribbling). Drawing using the example of a pirouette followed by an American fake and instep dribbling to the right. 1.-6. Pirouette 1. Short dribbling. 2. Initiate the pirouette by placing the right sole on the ball. 3. Turn around the own body axis to the left. The standing leg leaves the ground. 4.-5. The turn continues. The standing leg switches. The left sole goes on the ball. 6. The pirouette is complete. The original running direction has changed by about 90 degrees. 7.-9. American fake 7. Right sole goes on the ball. 8.-9. The ball is played with the right inside behind the standing leg in the opposite direction. 10. Instep dribbling (opposite to the original running direction at the start of the pirouette).

Tip

Pirouette: - The player starts with a dribble. When initiating the pirouette with the right foot, the right sole is placed on the ball (knee at a 90-degree angle), turn 180 degrees to the left (left shoulder goes back) and place the right foot to the left of the ball. With the second ball touch, the ball is pulled back with the left sole (left leg bent as before) and another 180-degree turn follows. Now the player is back in the starting position. In this movement, the left leg is placed to the left of the ball during the turn and the ball is continued with the right outside of the foot to the right. - Practice slowly first. - For the correct turn, the hand can touch the shoulder toward which the turn is made. - Quick, fluid movement. American fake: - The upper body becomes somewhat more upright when stopping and pulling the ball back compared to the pirouette. - Do not lean backward. - The ankle must be extended for hooking with the inside, toes pointing toward the ground. - The ankle is turned 90 degrees inward. - The standing leg also moves to the side. - The foot shields the ball so the opponent cannot play it. - When executed, a 180-degree turn occurs followed by dribbling in the opposite running direction (backward). - When the feint is executed with the left foot, a right turn follows. With the right, it is reversed. Instep dribbling: - The ankle is extended, toes pointing to the ground. - The ball is guided with the instep ("with the tongue of the shoe"). - 4 cones
