Tempo dribbling in the rhombus

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression, Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players

Setup

The cones are build up diamond-shaped. The players spread evenly over the hats. Every player has a ball.

Procedure

All four players dribble to the opposite side at the same time. In the middle you have to coordinate your walking paths so that they do not interfere or collide with each other. When the players have reached the center of the diamond, the next players start dribbling. This process is ongoing.

Tip

- The signal for the start for the waiting players is when the active players have arrived in the middle of the diamond. That the waiting players are constantly asked to observe and to initiate their action on a (soccer-typical) optical signal. - Make sure that the players pass the ball with the outer instep, as this is the fastest ball control technique. - Tight ball control. The players have to turn their eyes to the ball and up to see where they are going so they do not collide with the other players. - 4 cones
