Tempo dribbling with handing over the ball

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players

Setup

Structure of the cones according to the graphic. The players are evenly distributed at the four outer cones. The balls are placed at the outer cones.

Procedure

Players A + B dribble to the other side at the same time. The ball should be guided very close to the foot at the highest speed and passed to the opposite player.

Tip

- Explosive start. - The ball transfer should take place in motion, i.e. the player waiting for the ball starts his movement when the dribbler starts the swing movement to hand over the ball. - If player A guides the ball with his left foot, the player waiting for the ball starts from his point of view offset to the right of the dribbler so that the area can be closed when the ball is handed over. - Fast, short steps with close control of the ball (maximum 50cm distance from ball to foot). - The head constantly goes from bottom to top to keep the ball and teammates in view. - 4 cones
