Procedure
As soon as H prepares to take the throw-in, the players run to the positions indicated by the movement arrows. The forwards I and J cross. I runs toward the near post, J toward the far post. Player C runs toward the thrower H to flick on the throw-in. The centre back B runs into the middle of the goal area and player G toward the far post. He also adjusts to player J, leaving him the space closer to the goal. Player E stays in the back area to provide cover and either finishes the throw-in directly or converts any rebounds and layoffs from the penalty area. The two fullbacks A and D as well as midfielder F stay back and watch for counterattacks. After 10 minutes, perform the same variation from the other side. Variation 1: 2 players throw the ball to each other from a standing position or with a run-up. Alternatively, a medicine ball can be used to improve throwing power.n Variation 2: Throw-ins from the sideline over a short distance to a teammate, who lets the ball bounce back, and the thrower then delivers a cross toward goal. Variation 3: The throw-ins are thrown long into the penalty area to the edge of the goal area. A player stands there (or runs there) as described in the offensive setup to flick on or directly finish the throw-in.nn
