Triple Finish

Setup

  • 1 goal
  • Cones to mark positions
  • Enough balls on the baselines

Procedure

  • Players position themselves as per the diagram.
  • Players in line each have a ball at their feet. Players on the baseline have multiple balls. The first player in line dribbles shortly and then takes a shot. Then, the player receives a flat, hard pass from the corner of the penalty area. This pass is finished directly. Afterward, the player receives a thrown ball from a player next to the goal. The player attempts to head the ball into the goal.

Tip

Coaching Points

  • Take another look away from the ball before the finish.
  • 2nd shot: If the shooter is close enough to the goal, often a well-placed inside foot shot is sufficient.
  • Header: head the ball from movement, build up arch tension.
