One set lasts about 10 seconds. Any number of players. Two cones can mark the start and end, for example.
Procedure
Wide, space-covering single-leg jumps. Alternating from the left to the right ball of the foot. Both legs are bent. The arms swing in the opposite running motion. The upper body is upright. The goal is to push off high and far and stay in the air as long as possible.
Tip
- Palms are open, do not make fists (makes a difference of 3/100 sec for a sprinter); in football this can be decisive as to whether the ball hits the post or goes in. - Run on the balls of the feet, not on the whole foot or the heels. - Light, easy footwork, no stomping or pounding but nimbleness. - The bent arms at the body move alternately with the legs. Not away from the body (no goal celebration). - As diagonal as possible (left arm/right foot and vice versa).
