  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players

Setup

The goalkeeper stands on the goal line, the goalkeeper coach (GC) stands with the balls on the Penalty spot.

Procedure

The goalkeeper stands on the goal line with his back to the GC and performs 3-5 tuck jumps, each time touching the crossbar. After the final jump he spins to face the GC and reacts to his shot. Intensity: 4-6 repetitions Learning Aid: 1 Full-size goal.

Tip

1 full-court goal(s), - Tuck jump=>through a powerful, two legged take off, the knees/thighs are pulled up to the chest. The arms are bent and swing back. The torso is up right. Land on the balls of the feet. The next jump immediately follows after a short ground-time. \n-Fast 90 degree spin to the GC\n-If possible, just before the GC makes contact with the ball the goalkeeper performs a short, forward two-legged preparatory jump, or takes a short step forwards. Spreads his arms, bends his legs slightly and stands on the balls of his feet. The feet point in the direction of the coach and are at hip-distance apart. The torso is bent slightly forwards and the eyes are fixed on the ball.\n- For every defensive action the body has to be brought behind the ball.\n-During defensive actions the goalkeeper must never fall backwards rather always forwards.\n- Laterally shifted jumps (skier jump/movement) => with a torso bent slightly forwards, jump off forwards with alternating right and left legs (with the right leg; forwards right and with the left; forwards left). It is important that the take off and the landing occur on the balls of the feet, whereby the arms swing supportively. When the standing leg lands after the jump, the other leg is bent (no ground-time). Look straight ahead.\n
