Two wingers A and E and two strikers I and J are positioned on the field as shown in the diagram. The balls are with E. A goalkeeper is in the goal.
Procedure
Player E plays a one-two with player A. E runs toward the end line and crosses the ball on the run into the penalty area so that it arrives approximately 4-11 metres from the goal. The two players I + J make crossing runs and try to finish the cross.
Tip
- The strikers cross toward the near and far post. - When crossing, it is important that the players explosively switch positions at sprint speed just before the crosser begins the crossing motion. - The crossing players or attackers must not start too early. - The crosser should play sharp, precise passes. - The passer should time the ball into the crosser's run so that the crosser can deliver the cross on the run from just before the end line. - 1 full-size goal(s)
