Wing play / flanks IV

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 6 - 9 players

Setup

Two wingers A and E and two strikers I and J are placed on the field according to the graphic. The balls are at E. There is a goalkeeper positioned in the goal.

Procedure

Player E dribbles inwards towards the penalty area (1). At the same time, player A falls behind player E (2). Now E fits the ball into the course of player A in the direction of the corner flag / baseline, so that he can flank the ball from the run into the penalty area so that it arrives approx. 4-11 meters from the goal. The two players cross I + J and try to use the flank.

Tip

- The strikers cross towards the first and second posts. - When crossing, it is important that the players explosively change positions at sprint speed just before the flank movement. - The crossing players or attackers should not start too early. - The edge transmitter should play sharp, precise passes. - The passing player should time the ball in the run of the flanker so that the flanker can flank it shortly before the baseline. - 1 large field gate (s)
