Long-range shots

  • Organisation

    The goalkeeper is in the goal. One or more players stand roughly 20 m in front of the goal. The players have the soccer balls.
  • Process

    The players take it in turns to shoot at the goal. 3 consecutive goals scored means 10 push-ups for the goalkeeper, 3 saved goals mean 10 push-ups for the players Resources: 1 field goal
  • Tip

    Just before the trainer touches the ball the goalkeeper does a small jump with both legs or takes a small step forward, spreads his arms out to the side, bends his knees slightly and stands on the balls of his feet. His feet should point in the direction of the trainer and are about hip-width apart, upper-body bent slightly forward and eyes remain fixed on the ball. - His body must always be behind the ball in the defence position. -In the defence position the goalkeeper must never fall backwards, but only forwards. -The goalkeeper jumps with a force to the side or forwards. He slows momentum over his right foot and pushes off the ground with the balls of his feet. To the left he slows momentum over his left foot. - The goalkeeper tries to save the balls. If he is unable to do this the balls should be parried to the side. -The distance between the shooters may vary between 8 and 20 meters, depending on the age of the group.
