6 cones are laid out as shown, i.e. 4 cones make up the outer box in which 2 further cones are placed. One player per cone. The start cone must have 2 players.
The drill starts simultaneouls at the two cones where three players are standing. The first pas is into the middle (1) where the ball is laid off (2).
After that a cross-field pass is played (3). The next pass is a square pass (4).
The same sequence now takes place in the opposite direction. The 4 outer players follow their passes.
The two players in the middle move diagonally after their pass to the outer cone (red dotted line).
- 6 cones.
- This drill is very tiring and requires a great deal of player intelligence.
- The standing leg is often too far away from the ball and/or the player leans back.
- Timing of the pass is important.
- Don't forget the runs.
- Demand good strength of pass and pass precision.
- Pass precision is more important than pass speed.
- Concentration must be held at all times.
- Anticipation, awareness, reaction, speed of thought and movement with and without the ball are continuously required.
- The drills should run simultaneously. As a result the players must communicate and keep an eye on the other drill.
15 x 15m
The two outer cones are 15 meters apart. The third cone is central at a distance of 7.5m from the outer cones and set off at a distance of 6m.
